This little hummingbird flew into my glass door.  He is on his back and shaking like crazy.  I gave him my finger to wrap his claws around.  It seemed to calm him quite a bit.   Even though he looks like he is sitting upright, he is actually on his back. 
 
 
 
 
Now I have gently turned him onto his feet. But, once again, I can actually see him shaking, he's terrified.
 
 
 
So  I gently place my fingers around him.  The shaking stops and he calms down.  In a few minutes he flys way to be with his family. 
 
 
And don't forget HGi Financial is bringing back the pink!

    Does anyone know what kind of hummingbird this is? Is he deformed with that pink spot on him?

      This is a female Anna's hummingbird. The males have the shinny pink completely around their heads. It is very special to be able to hold a hummingbird. While I was visiting my daughter and son-in-law in Napa, my daughter told me it was her dream to pet a hummingbird. We saved this little girl on her first day visiting. It was really special to make her wish come true.
